Senior Network Infrastructure/ System Integration Engineer 10+ years of experience:

Position Summary:

Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer with 10+ years of experience designing, deploying, operating, and troubleshooting large-scale enterprise, data center, cloud, and telecommunications network infrastructure. Experienced in leading global network deployments, multi-site data center expansions, migrations, decommissions, and complex network implementation projects.

Candidate shall have a minimum of ten (10) years of hands-on professional experience and proven knowledge of network technologies including WDM, SONET, ATM, COE, IP, Ethernet, DSL, Network Architecture and Fiber Optic communication system. This shall include design of network systems and providing comprehensive system engineering and integration services, on a turnkey basis

Candidate shall be familiar with the configuration of Ethernet switches, IP routers, COE switches, DSL extenders, channel banks, ATM switches SONET NEs, and WDM NEs.
 
Strong technical background across routing, switching, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS L3VPN, VXLAN, data center spine-leaf architectures, cloud connectivity, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, network monitoring, and network automation.

Experienced in coordinating cross-functional engineering teams, telecommunications providers, vendors, TPMs, and operations organizations to deliver infrastructure projects across globally distributed environments. Strong exposure to **optical networking, fiber infrastructure, fiber testing, fiber connectivity, and fiber-splicing activities** supporting data center and network deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the design, deployment, integration, and operational support of large-scale network infrastructure across enterprise, data center, cloud, and telecommunications environments.
* Lead regional and global network deployment programs, coordinating engineering teams, project managers, circuit providers, vendors, and operations teams.
* Develop detailed implementation plans, MOPs, runbooks, deployment schedules, migration plans, and operational documentation.
* Design and troubleshoot routing and switching infrastructure using BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS L3VPN, VLANs, spanning tree, port channels, FHRP, and related technologies.
* Design and support data center network architectures including **spine-leaf, VXLAN, overlay networks, and high-availability architectures**.
* Design and support multi-cloud connectivity using technologies such as cloud overlay networking.
* Troubleshoot complex network outages involving routing, switching, BGP, interfaces, optics, cabling, firewalls, load balancers, and physical infrastructure.
* Support network migrations, data center expansions, site consolidations, equipment decommissions, and production cutovers.
* Coordinate with telecommunications and circuit providers for WAN, Internet, cross-connect, and data center connectivity deployments.
* Support **optical networking infrastructure**, including fiber-based network connectivity, optical transceivers, fiber links, optical power-level troubleshooting, and physical-layer fault isolation.
* Coordinate and/or perform **fiber infrastructure activities**, including fiber routing, patching, fiber continuity verification, connector inspection, fiber testing, and fiber-splicing activities where required.
* Work with field technicians and data center teams on **single-mode and multimode fiber infrastructure**, fiber patch panels, cross-connects, and optical network deployments.
* Troubleshoot optical links using transceiver diagnostics, transmit/receive optical power measurements, interface statistics, alarms, and physical-layer troubleshooting methodologies.
* Support optical network deployments involving high-speed Ethernet and data center connectivity, including 10G/25G/40G/100G and higher-speed optical interfaces as applicable.
* Perform or coordinate fiber-splicing activities and validate optical connectivity following fiber installation, repair, or network expansion.
* Work with vendors and field-service teams to resolve fiber, optics, cross-connect, and physical-layer issues.
* Implement network monitoring, alerting, and operational improvements to reduce incident volume and improve network reliability.
* Lead production incident response, escalation management, troubleshooting, and recovery during critical deployment and outage windows.
* Manage project schedules, resource forecasting, deployment dependencies, and operational handoffs across globally distributed teams.

### Typical Qualifications

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science must required.
* 10+ years of experience in network infrastructure engineering, network development, data center networking, telecommunications, or cloud networking.
* Strong experience with enterprise and data center network technologies.
* Experience supporting large-scale, geographically distributed infrastructure.
* Experience with optical networking, fiber infrastructure, and fiber troubleshooting.
* Fiber-splicing experience or working knowledge of fiber-splicing processes and testing methodologies.
* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and project leadership skills.
* CCNP or equivalent networking certifications is preferred.
* OSHA 30 Hr. in Construction industry is preferred.

Salary range:
$114,350- $158,850
